Fritosport Racing Team has been improving and running preparations more than ever in this challenge filled event. Miika has been hard at work on creating setups for each car we've entered for this rally. We have Ioannis in the R4 class. Miika is in the 2010's/WRC class and I'm (Frito) running an F2 kit car Peugeot. Thanks to his skills and knowledge I feel very confident in the car, the stamina of it and the handling feels superb! Miika is possibly in the top 20 with not much time left until the event is over. Myself, I'm not a 100% sure of where I wound up but I believe Ioannis and myself were in the 40's last time we checked. *I will update soon! Up above you can see stages 10-12 as we had technical issues with our on-board and tv feed for the previous stages... Stages 13-16 are here!!!! All of us finished the stages! It feels good to finish a 16stage event.
WOW! What an amazing time we had at LeMans in the skip barber F2000 cars. We had two pit stops to complete and some of us suffered damage, some great drafting took place as well. Thanks to Hugo, Ioannis, Kevin, for pushing hard for the team. It was great fun battling Roger most of the race and even through pit strategy! Ultimately we had 3 spins during the race putting us out of the points in the last spin... Kev and Hugo had repairs to take care of. Nice work on his consistent finishes to Ioannis as well. Onto next season team! With Miika's help and expertise we've been working on improving our pace and consistency in DiRT Rally. We have grueling long stages to face in the RDRC-PC championship and Miika has been instrumental in building setups, driver coaching, and providing great content! We look forward to working together on a way to improve the sim driver in Rally... Frito Sanchinelli set out to score points and drive with a bit more aggression than before. As the season is winding down to a finish in both the THC and FN series, we really want to score some points in both. Race 1 proved to be quite challenging as we found out that 4 into T1 doesn't quite work. It was a finish of survival as we wound up P15. However, in race 2 we were able to battle in a clean manner all the way to the end! Good job to Vince and Andy. Congrats to Andy Bonar for getting that P6 I was after. In the end it was very close at the line with us in P7. WE SCORED POINTS!!!! WOOOHOO! CHECK OUT Andy Bonar's VR footage of the race!!! Subscribe to his YT channel for more! Below is my on-board from Race 1 and 2. #57 Edgar F Sanchinelli. You will also find the TV replay of Race 2. ENJOY!
What an amazing season of ups and downs! When it was all said and done, we wound up in P2 in the Street Tuner Open division championship! A huge thanks to the xtrememotorsports league. The admins, drivers and the driver assistance program is great. It was a rollercoaster ride of a season battling on track and in the pits versus Mike Taylor, Mike Key, Chris Thorman, and more! It was great to be a part of a full season here. Also thanks to TD's tree service and Frank at Ricmotech. Thanks for the hat! Fritosport Racing Team drivers Hugo, Lluc, Kev, Ioannis and Ed FRITO loaded up the Skip Barber F2000 cars with the new and current liveries for the penultimate round of the FN championship. A 45 car field showed up to race this weekend, in the end there was a lot of carnage. Some very close calls, repairs and a last lap mistake in the chicane. Watch the broadcast to find out how it went for our team. Thanks to the team for their determination and strengths. While we have felt comfortable putting some laps in around VIR, it proved to be more difficult during a multi-class event. Probably 5 minutes after the driver's meeting we made changes to the setup. It helped but we still were not 100% sure how the car would react. When all was said and done we took on a little too much fuel. Mike Key took about half as much as we did and we came in behind him, in P8. We look now at the final showdown, 90min around Road Atlanta. The penultimate round of the THC championship saw us send Ed FRITO Sanchinelli to the grid at Oulton Park. Other team members are driving in the EXM F1 championship and others were not able to make it to the event. We had a qualifying time we felt good about, however we got off to a slow start and dropped a couple of positions right off the line. In the end we wound up in P10, giving us and our team points in the THC. This is a good accomplishment as we have been struggling this season... |
